ECOLOGICAL AGRICULTURE

In many areas of Central and Eastern Europe, agriculture is still traditional.

Many small farmers create a diverse and valuable landscape, especially in mountainous regions and near natural areas. Ecological agriculture is an effective way to protect this diversity.

Most of the farms listed by ECEAT are (nearly) ecological, which means that almost no pesticides or fertilizers are used. We think it is important to support these farmers. Together with regular farm activities, tourism gives them an opportunity to generate a reasonable income.
